Windows Live Writer
If you’ve never heard of it before, you’re exactly in the same position as I was before. Windows Live Writer is an offline web blog publishing tool for Windows that is compatible with many blogging platforms (such as Wordpress). Yes, I’m using this program right now to write this post.
So far, I’m impressed. It’s neat, clean, and pretty efficient. Setup was almost a breeze (first had to download the damn Windows Live client, install that before clicking the option to install Windows Live Writer). Since during setup you provide the URL to your blog along with your account details, it automatically detects which blogging platform you’re using, and synchronizes all your data (including categories and stuff) with the program. Neat!
This is very useful for offline blogging; I presume it posts your article when you get back online. So if you’re a Windows user and a blogger, you should really give this one a try.
