I should check Google more often…
… as my site shows up on the third page of Google listings when searching for "john010117". Dammit - I only found out today. The first two pages shows my other profiles in other sites including Newgrounds, PHPFreaks, Technorati, and Digg. Go ahead. Laugh.
There may be many reasons why this might be, including the fact that only a few people know and visit my site every so often and that I didn’t have any meta keywords/description tags included. It also might be because my host decides to crash the servers every now and then (getting more frequent as of late). Who knows? All I know is that I’m going to attempt to drastically change my listings so that my site shows up first on the "john010117′ Google listing. How am I going to do that?
For starters, I’ve installed the "All in one SEO pack" for Wordpress and configured it to my likings. Now, I have meta keywords/descriptions on every public page on this site as well as optimized titles (the little blurb of text you see on top of your browser window). Next, I’m thinking about moving to a different host (yes, I’m looking at you, (mt) MediaTemple). That should get rid of most (if not all) of the downtime problems I’ve been getting lately. Lastly, I’ll attempt to put a link back to my site on my profiles located on other sites.
Hopefully after doing all that and waiting a while, Google will get its head out of its ass and notice that john010117.com is the actual blog of john010117, thus putting the site on the front page.

Sounds a bit like a legal googlebomb, which caused some epic lolz when the scientology sites went down a couple of months ago. However, you’re just trying to reclaim your rightful position as king of the netz.
